Freestyle Wrestling World Cup 2016

The 2016 Men’s Freestyle World Cup returns to the Forum in Inglewood, California! The top 8 men’s freestyle teams in the world battle it out in one of the last events leading into the Rio 2016 Olympic Games!

This will be the last biggest competition before the top teams will go to Brazil for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games!

The host United States of America will be one of the eight teams in this year’s field. They’ll be competing against (alphabetically): Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Mongolia, Russia and Turkey. Iran took home the team championship at the 2015 Men’s Freestyle Wrestling World Cup, while the U.S. finished second and Azerbaijan placed third.

The 8 teams will be divided into two pools of 4 (Pool A and Pool B). After the pools, all teams will compete against their corresponding place winner for final placement. For example, the 1st place team from Pool A will then wrestle the 1st place team from Pool B for the Gold medal match.

Teams will compete in only the 6 Olympic weight classes.

Tickets are on sale now! General admission for both the Saturday and Sunday sessions are just $60 total or $35 for individual days. Preferred seating options are available for $85 for both Saturday and Sunday, or $55 individually.
